Found by repeated testing to be an extremely accurate method of measuring cutaneous sensibility (Bell, 1978), this test measures both diminishing and returning sensation. Consists of 20 nylon monofilaments, each precisely calibrated and of equal length. Set of five monofilaments and individual replacements are available.
